Sanders Supply has evolved through a real family effort by owners Bill, Charlotte, Ed, and Donna Sanders.
The present business on 107 E. Belding began in Hot Springs in 1978, offering such products as American Standard, Toto, Delta, American Water Heater, Elkay, and Aqua Glass.
In 1929, Ed B. Sanders opened an independent plumbing company, which evolved into Ed Sanders and Son Mechanical Contractors after his son, Billy E. Sanders, joined the company in the 1950’s.
In 1974, Ed retired and Bill took over ownership. In 1978, Bill along with his wife, Charlotte, founded Sanders Plumbing Supply, Inc. and opened their new location at 107 E. Belding.
Ed R. Sanders, Bill and Charlotte’s son, joined the company in 1986 after graduating from the University of Arkansas with a degree in accounting and receiving his CPA designation.
Sanders’ first expansion was in 1987 with the opening of their
Valley Street branch, specializing in Heil heating and air conditioning supplies. Mitch Weatherford was promoted to manager at that location. In 1989 Dave Welch opened Sanders’ Russellville location. Bryan Heavener now serves as manager of that store. Sanders’ fourth location was opened in Benton in 1994. In 2002 under the management of John Ledbetter that location was moved and expanded to meet the growing needs of the area. After John’s promotion, Bret Jones was moved from Hot Springs to the Benton location. Also in 1996 Sanders opened their fifth location in Fort Smith with Mike Locknar serving as manager. Later that year, Sanders acquired Consolidated Supply with locations in Blytheville and Batesville. Kerry Baker, served as manager at Blytheville which was later relocated to Jonesboro in 2005. Tim Garwood serves as manager at Batesville.
In 1999 Dave Welch opened another new location in Harrison with Robert Crow now serving as manager. Their tenth location was added in 2003 in North Little Rock with Dave Welch serving as manager. In 2008 an all new facility was built to better serve our customers in that area.
In April of 2007 Sanders remodeled their facility on Belding with Mark Sanders now serving as store manager. The new showroom specializes in decorative plumbing, lighting, ceiling fans, cabinet pulls, and more. This showroom expands the selection of plumbing and lighting that is available to the customer. Sanders Plumbing and Lighting is reflective of designs and styles found in many of the largest cities around the United States. Sanders brings to Hot Springs many exciting new products and brands that have never been shown here before. The Sanders invites everyone to stop by and take a look. Sanders is proud to announce the opening of its newest location in 2009 in Springdale with Jimmy Greenhaw serving as manager.
